Connect your AWS Account with PingSafe

Pingsafe has introduced Cross-Account access as an option for the AWS integration. This new method lets you onboard the AWS cloud account to PingSafe in just a few clicks.

  1. Prerequisites to Onboard AWS account:

    • User should have AWS managed Administrative Access permission.
  2. Click on the Settings ⚙️ button in the top right corner.
  3. From the left navigation panel click on "Cloud Configuration" button.
  4. Click on the "Add account" button in the top right corner.
  5. Click on the “Connect” button present under “Amazon AWS”. 
  6. Select “Account” from the “Onboard” option, fill in your “Account Name”, and select the Scan Mode.
    • Detect: PingSafe has read-only access to the resources in your AWS Cloud account. 
    • Detect & Auto Remediate: PingSafe has read/write access to the resources. You will have to enable/disable this feature for each plugin that supports auto-remediation.
  7. If you want to enable "CloudTrail Events Integration", please follow the link.
    1. Click on the “Next” button.
    2. Click on the “Launch Stack” button from CloudFormation Template.
    3. Select “I acknowledge that AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources” and click on the “Create Stack” button.
    4. When the stack status is CREATE_COMPLETE, click on the “Outputs” tab.
