Connect your Digital Ocean account with PingSafe
This article explains how you can connect your Digital Ocean account with PingSafe for detecting security vulnerabilities in real-time.
You can easily integrate PingSafe with the Digital Ocean cloud account to receive misconfiguration alerts on the dashboard.
Step 1: Generate Personal Access Token on the Digital Ocean Portal
- Login to your Digital Ocean account.
- From the left navigation pane, select API.
- Now, click on Generate New Token to create a new access token.
- In the dialog box, mention the token name as PingSafe Token, set the expiration to No Expiry, and finally remove the unnecessary Write access for the token. Click on Generate Token when all the changes are made.
- A new token will the generated. Copy and store it for connecting the account with PingSafe.
Step 2: Connect the account with the token on the PingSafe dashboard
- Login to the PingSafe dashboard.
- From the left navigation pane, under the Cloud Security section, click on Add Account.
- Click on Connect under the Digital Ocean section.
- Enter the desired Account Name. Paste the API token generated before. Select all the compliances you wish to check for. (You can change this setting later) Finally, Click on Submit when done.
- That’s it. The account will be added to the PingSafe dashboard. Repeat this process if you wish to connect other Digital Ocean accounts as well.
